Types of FDA recalls of dangerous products

People buy all types of products in order to assist them with various types of projects or tasks. These products can make life much easier and make products run much more smoothly. However, in order for the project to go smoother, the product must work properly. When they do not they are useless and could make things even more difficult. However, if all that happens is that the project becomes more difficult, people can move on with life and complete the project a different way.

Sometimes, though, the defective product does more than just make life more difficult. There are times when the defective product can actually injure the person using it. Sometimes these injuries can be very devastating as well and permanently affect the victim. So, the FDA has a strong interest in keeping these potentially dangerous products from the general public. Therefore, the FDA will issue product recalls to limit the number of people who could be injured by them.

There are three main different types of recalls. A class III recall is the least dangerous and the recall is generally not due to the product injuring someone but because it violated FDA regulations. A class II recall is for products that may cause serious injury or a temporary illness and the most dangerous type is a class I recall and involves products that may cause serious injury or even death. These recalls are very important, but sometimes they do not occur until after people are injured and therefore cannot help those victims.

There are many defective products used by people in Florida. These products could potentially be dangerous and people can suffer severe injuries as a result. While the FDA does recall these products, they cannot protect everyone. Unfortunately that means that many people will suffer injuries, incur medical bills and in some cases may permanently change one's life. These people may be entitled to compensation for their injuries though and consulting with an experienced attorney may be beneficial.
