Florida car accident victims suffer serious injuries

This blog recently discussed the types of damages that may be available to victims following a car accident. A recent car accident in Florida left one woman in critical condition and 4 others in serious condition. The motor vehicle accident occurred when the 38-year old driver of one of the vehicles involved in the car accident crossed the center line and struck an oncoming vehicle traveling in the other direction. Though both drivers attempted to avoid the collision, they were unable to do so.

Both the driver of the vehicle that crossed the center line and a 23-year old passenger in that vehicle were seriously injured in the accident. The 39-year old passenger also in that vehicle was listed in critical condition following the accident. The 35-year old driver of the vehicle that was struck was in serious condition following the accident and his 34-year old passenger also suffered serious injuries. The driver that crossed the center line crossed over in a no passing zone; authorities noted that charges are pending in the accident.

Motor vehicle accidents can unexpectedly cause significant disruption in the lives of victims and their families. Because the legal system recognizes this, it provides resources and remedies to help victims recover compensation for the damages they have suffered. Damages can include significant physical, financial and emotional harm as victims struggle with the injuries they have suffered, medical bills, lost wages and pain and suffering all too commonly associated with car accidents.

Personal injury legal options help victims through the oftentimes long recovery process they face after an unexpected car accident. When a driver has been negligent, sometimes evidenced by a criminal citation or charge, it is important that they are held accountable and that victims receive the help they need with the damages they have suffered in a car accident.
